    What Is Your Favorite Movie?

    By Bloggaman | May 29, 2008

The other day I did a story on my Top-10 TV shows of all time. I decided I would do the same type of list but this time it is on my favorite movies of all time. Here is my list of Top 10 All-Time favorite movies.

    1. Shawshank Redemption
    2. Unforgiven
    3. In The Line Of Fire
    4. A Few Good Men
    5. Silverado
    6. Smokey and the Bandit
    7. Pulp Fiction
    8. Apollo 13
    9. Good Fellas
    10. Lord of the Rings

Now you might have read through that list and thought to yourself, where are all the classics? Well I only included movies I have seen before. I have seen Citizen Kane, which some call the best movie ever made, and it was good but it was hard to go back and watch a movie that old. On top of that I had already heard the twist at the end and that kind of took the fun out of the movie.

Another movie that isn’t listed is The Godfather. I love that movie but if I had the choice I would watch one of the movies above before The Godfather. My favorite gangster movie is Good Fellas.Shawshank Redemption

Sixth Sense is another very good movie. I don’t have it in my list because I figured out the twist before the end of the movie. That took the fun out of the movie for me. It is still a very good movie but not in my Top 10. When I watched Shawshank Redemption for the first time I didn’t see the twist at the end coming at all. Frank Darabont directed that movie and he also directed The Green Mile. Both movies are well done stories. They suck you in and don’t let you go until the credits roll. Darabont is not a well known director but he should be. He is a great story teller and if you haven’t seen Shawshank, you should.
