Tuesday, April 29th, 2008Following yesterdays post about Reality TV. Love It Or Hate It?, today I decided to add a funny post of rejected Reality TV ideas. Some of these could be offensive to some so I apologize in advance if you are offended.
- That 70’s Survivor - a group of 18 between the age of 20 and 25 have to live life like it was in the 70’s. No cell phones, iPod’s, laptop computers or Internet, etc. Beyond that they live their same lives. Those caught using anything not available in the 70’s are kicked off the show.
Reality TV. Love It Or Hate It?
Monday, April 28th, 2008Last night was the end for another reality show, Big Brother season 9. Adam Jasinski beat out Ryan Quicksall to win $500,000. Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites is nearing an end also. I enjoy watching both shows. Are they the best shows on TV? No, but they are entertaining.
Two other shows I like to watch include Hells Kitchen and Top Chef. I enjoy cooking so I like to see people, that cook much better than me, get criticized at work. Both shows are about cooking but that is really where the similarities end. Top Chef is regular cooking competition. Hell’s Kitchen is more made for TV competition. Both are entertaining in their own ways.
Things That Make You Go…..WTF??
Thursday, April 24th, 2008HillRod? McCainiacs? What’s Barack Got Cookin? You are probably thinking to yourself, what the hell are you talking about? Well if you don’t know then the video below will help clear things up. It will make you laugh at the same time but like the title says? WTF were they thinking?
Here is another excerpt from Jon Stewart. This shows us where we have gone since we initially went to war in Afghanistan and how things are not so different now. Good stuff, unless you are the Bush fan.
Britain’s Got Talent
Thursday, April 17th, 2008Britain’s Got Talent isn’t a show many people in the US will see. In fact, you won’t find it anywhere as far as I can tell. You can go on to YouTube and find plenty of the videos and you will likely run across a couple of great performances. There is a new wave of buzz for a performance by a 13-year old so I wanted to share that with you. But first, I wanted to share the performance of Paul Potts. Both performances give me chills.
The two hard ass judges, Piers Morgan and Simon Cowell, are even surprised and have nothing but positive remarks. Enjoy.
Men Who Watch Oprah
Sunday, April 13th, 2008OK, I know, the title is a little strange. After all, there are a number of men that watch Oprah right? Well I am not a consistent watcher of Oprah I have to admit I do occasionally watch the show. My wife is a big fan of Oprah because she lived in Chicago back when Oprah was doing TV news there.
Bloggaman….Who I Am
Saturday, March 22nd, 2008Since this Blog is still very new I thought it best that I tell a little more about myself. By doing this it will give you an idea of my interests and what you could expect to see on this site.
Politics - Right now I am a supporter of Barack Obama. Back before the primaries started I was actually big into Mitt Romney. I thought he was very presidential and a solid candidate. I think he still is but I believe he turned people off with the money he was throwing out in ads but we will have to wait and see since he has long since dropped out. Barack Obama has been making money like no one ever has but he does another thing too. He goes and talks to people and when he does I really feel they fall in love with what he is.
