Bill And Hillary Clinton Are Millionaires

    By Bloggaman | April 5, 2008

After a lot of pressure to release her tax returns they finally did so yesterday. The tax returns show they have made a lot of money since Bill Clinton left the White House. As the article points out, “The tax returns are a portrait in post-presidential success.” That is an understatement.

Clintons made $109 million since 2000

The article also states, “According to a summary of the seven years provided by the campaign, the former president’s speech income since he left the White House totals $51.85 million and his income from his two books — “My Life ” and “Giving” — totals $29.6 million, including a $15 million advance for “My Life.” Bill Clinton has traveled the world, giving paid speeches to multinational corporations, investment banks and motivational groups.”

The story also mentioned, “Hillary Clinton had $10.5 million in book income over the period from her book “Living History.” She donated earnings from her other book, “It Takes a Village,” to charity.”

OK, now we have all the details of their tax returns. My question is who cares? It shows that the Clintons are the wealthiest of the three candidates. Did someone expect to find something different in these returns? I guess we can put this story to rest now because it wasn’t much of a story to begin with. The money they made doesn’t change my opinion of anyone. I am still for Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton is still my least favorite of the three.
