Best Discount Travel Site - Hotwire

Before you start reading this article please note that I would like some feedback on this. I am going to share my thoughts but I want you to share yours. I realize I don’t have a ton of readers yet but those that are here reading please reply.
I have a good sized family and for that reason I like to travel when i can, with my family. We have discovered that regular hotels don’t work well for us. For that reason we purchased a timeshare which we use for a week or two a year depending on who is going on vacation. Sometimes it is all of us and sometimes it is just the wife and I.
With a timeshare we will use hotels a lot. We like to get away from the kids for weekends when we can. I also 
do guys weekends and need a good hotel. When I need a good hotel I always go to one site, Hotwire.com. It is the best site I know of based on the quality of hotels I have stayed at for the money.
We go to Chicago a lot and as an example I have stayed at a:
- Hilton Garden Inn in Evanston for $58.
- Hilton O’Hare for $73 a night.
- Hilton Garden Inn south of O’Hare for $53.
- Hyatt Regency-Woodfield near Schaumberg for $58.
Now you might be thinking, why are you so cheap? Well I am not really cheap, well maybe I am but why pay $120 for a room you can get for half of that? I don’t think that is cheap. I think it is efficient use of money.
Now you might also be asking, why don’t you use Priceline or Hotels.com? Well I have used both before but 
don’t like either as much as Hotwire. For one, I have gotten rooms through Priceline at very good prices. The rooms however don’t match up to those I have gotten through Hotwire. I usually go for at least 3-star ratings and at Hotwire you always get a very nice hotel if you follow that guideline. If you take a 3-star at Priceline you could be in for a bad time. For that reason I no longer even consider Priceline.
Now I said when I started this article I wanted some feedback and this is where that comes in. If you have read this article I would like to get your opinion on which Discount Travel Site you use and like the best. If you can add some examples of what kind of deals you have gotten. Now I have talked only about the hotel rooms you can get through Hotwire but you can get airline tickets, car rentals and much more also. Please feel free to share any examples no matter if it is a hotel or one of the other options. I would love to find out how other travel site have worked or if you agree with Hotwire being one of the best.
I also mentioned time shares earlier in this article and I am curious how many others have used timeshares or would consider it in the future. I could do a story on how we got our timeshare cheap ($300) and share the best place to find a timeshare cheap.
